About the author:
Mike is married to exactly one wife. We cannot be too clear about such things in this day and age. He is the father of four young kids who make him feel old and young all at once.
He is the pastor of a small, evangelical church in the Caribbean, but hails from the United States. In his spare time, he enjoys taking the kids snorkeling or hiking, dreaming about building a monster-sized model railroad with his kids, or reading books on history, the Church and biographies.
About History, Mystery, Liturgy:
This is a place to ponder and reflect on what means to be a part of God’s people in the 21st century. Some of what happens here will be devotional, some educational and other parts commentary on the world around us.
The title comes from thinking about the missing pieces and disconnects between God, life, and how we respond to Him. The perspective is from a classical evangelical viewpoint. My beliefs are firmly grounded in the Reformation, but hopefully humble enough to learn from the other great Christian traditions. I invite you to join me on this journey for God’s glory.
